A patient presents with the following bumps on the arm. What disease could cause this condition?

1 comment:

  1. These are rheumatoid nodules on the arm of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis.

    • Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disorder characterized by
the insidious onset of symmetric polyarthritis and extraarticular symptoms.

    • In nearly all patients with rheumatoid arthritis, the wrist, metacarpophalangeal
joints, and proximal interphalangeal joints are affected, whereas the distal
    interphalangeal joints are spared.
