With which disease are these cutaneous predilection sites associated?

1 comment:

  1. Systemic Lupus erythematosus (SLE). SLE is the designation of a spectrum of disease patterns that are linked by distinct clinical findings and distinct patterns of cellular and humoral autoimmunity. SLE occurs more commonly in women and ranges from life-threatening manifestations to limited skin involvement. The discoid variant of SLE is more common in African-American women.

The distribution of skin changes in the drawing occur due to increased photosensitivity in SLE. Another classic skin finding is a malar rash, which describes a “butterfly” shaped rash on the face that spans the cheeks and bridge of the nose but spares nasolabial folds.
