  1. Raynaud phenomenon is a vasospastic reaction to cold temperatures or emotional stress, leading to sharply demarcated color changes of the skin. The image shows a typical Raynaud phenomenon attack, characterized by a sharp demarcation of skin pallor.

    Raynaud’s can be found in isolation in some patients but is also associated with autoimmune disorders. CREST syndrome describes a limited, cutaneous form of systemic sclerosis. CREST is an acronym for calcinosis, Raynaud’s phenomenon, Esophageal dysmotility, Sclerodactyly, and Telangiectasias.
