What is present on the patient’s lower legs and with which disease is it associated?

  1. Seen in the image is diabetic dermopathy. This is a skin condition most frequently found in the lower legs and appears as hyperpigmented patches or depressed plaques. About 15-40% of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus have diabetic dermopathy.
